DIY motor mount reinforcing?
I once saw a post / website showing DIY motor mount reinforcing with 3M window weld in a tube. Hours of searching have been fruitless. Anyone help me out?
Is window weld stuff as stiff as motor mount inserts?
I assume you'd want to do the torque mounts - rear and two lower fronts right (not top side two).
Any other comments?
Aaron.

I have heard of doing this before. I was told to just use the strongest thpe of sylicone I could find. But if there is s
omthin that is stiffer then I am sure it would work better.

W.O.T., after you try this, please tell me how you like them - the dealership said that one of my mounts iscollapsed, and this looks like a quick, easy, and most important, LOW-COST fix for my problem...so hopefully it's good! Thanks...
Ok, I've done it. Keep in mind that my hatch is stripped and I did it while swapping so I don't have much for comparison.
I did the three torque mounts. Fulled 'em full.
It shakes slighty at idle. Like a really mild back massage. Other than that, I don't notice much vibration. Throttle response is instant, wheel hop is near none.
I'd recommend this mod.
