New OEM Exhaust
So I am putting a new OEM factory replacement stock exhaust system on my 2001 Honda Prelude and every time I search up gaskets for my exhaust I only get results for these gaskets:

But I always thought you needed Gaskets that looked like this:

Which ones am I supposed to use?? I need to know which ones for the Intermediate pipe, front pipe, catalytic converter, and muffler pipe.

high temp rated ones should be okay. I used it, and haven't had any issues or odd smells even . It works on manifolds and block so should be okay??!
Here is the parts exploded view

#14 is muffler gasket
18303-SM4-020 GASKET, MUFFLER $6.98
#16 is the gasket for the CAT to the extension pipe
18393-SH3-S00 GASKET, PRE CHAMBER (52.5MM-53.5MM) $7.32
#17 is the gasket for the downpipe/flexpipe to the CAT
18393-SS0-J30 GASKET, PRE CHAMBER (57.5MM-58.5MM) $7.24
All three of these gaskets are steel rings like the OP's pic and the SH and base model are the same part#s.

I work at a parts store and I have never seen anyone get good results from liquid gasket on an exhaust. The Goerlich exhaust numbers are 8702, 9080 and 9081. Save yourself some time and just get the correct gaskets. They are like $4 Each
Why do so many people insist on rigging up their cars?

I use liquid gasket sealent with metal gaskets. Its a staple with me. I guess I shouldn't recomend using it without the gaskets, (essentially between two flanges) because it is "rigging" and I'm usually not down with that. I have strict work ethics and apologize for suggesting that. It will work and do the trick though for a while but the gaskets should be bought and used as they were intended.
Why don't you just buy the proper gaskets? I'm not saying the liquid gasket doesn't work, but if you do exhaust work, shouldn't you have a stockpile or a place where you can order the "proper" parts? ie. installations as per manual
