Default cat converter/carbon build up

hey guys, over the past few months i have been getting cels for about a week or two than it would go away. recently i got one and decided i should check it out. i got code 67 saying that the cat. converter is the problem. I think i may have carbon build up in the cat. Any ideas on how to "clean out" the carbon. Im thinking about doing seafoam and running some lucas fuel injector cleaner. any help is appreciated

i dont know of anyway to clean it out. if your in an area that has emissions id say go for a random technology's hi flow cat. My si see's one when inspection time comes around. The rest of the year it see's a test pipe. could just rod out the middle. I see that done alot.

all my buddies are telling me to hollow out the cat as well. i dont have any tough emissions laws to deal with so i may end up doing that. im just slightly worries about excessive carbon causing mechanical problems down the road. If it comes down to it i might just get the cheapest cat i can get my hands on.

yea, in my area they do a visual check. found that out the hard way. a hi flow like the random tech is nice. you can see thru it. just alil metal mesh inside it kinda pricey but its legal.

i was just looking through an old summit catalog and found magnaflow and dynomax catalytic converters for fairly cheap. Anyone got reviews or experience with these.
