92 civic brake light on dash on, but brake not used?
I have a 92 civic and my brake light is on, and my emergency brake is not pulled. what could be the issues? because of the brake light it seems my car wont lock into cruise gear on the highway, i think its a 4 speed auto and it wont lock into the last gear(so it seems)
it wouldnt lock into the last gear previously when my speed sensor went back 6+ months ago, but that has been long fixed.
much appreciated.

check the wear on your brakes, my 95 had the light come on because my brakes were all but gone on my front pads, put them on and the brake light has been out ever since.

Most likely. I've also had the plunger get stuck giving a false fluid level reading.
Also there is a switch that activates the E-brake light when you pull up on the handle. It's common for them to go bad or get stuck causing the light to stay on.
Used to happen all the time to my '92.
I doubt this has anything to do with the shifting issue though.

No, the brake light won't come on because there is air in the line.

because when you bled the brakes, you added fluid and reset the plunger...
