Default Car Over Heating. Need Help!!!!

I have a 1991 Si, the timing belt recently broke and i replaced it. when i drove the car again it started to over heat. so then i figured i would replace the water pump as well too. I put it all back together and it is still over heating. I only drove the car around the block after letting it idle for 5 mins and it started to over heat. The car never had a over heating problem before. Is there something that i could have done when changing the timing belt of forgot it hook something back up? i dont see and coolant leaks in the drive way. Another thing to when i put new antifreeze back in it after changing the water pump i forgot to bleed the system. but i dont think that mattered because it overheated before i changed the pump. please help
