Default why does my car redline at 5000 rpm

why does my car redline at 5000 rpm????
it was running fine then i took the tarnny of my car is was grinding 3rd so i got a b16 tranny and put it on now it redllines at 5000 rpm i dont now why would my tranny do that to my car i would think if it redlines at 5000 rpm it would be wiring prolbems i need help someone please

theres a lot of things dat can make ur car redline at 5k rpm..the one i can thinking at the top of my head is ecu..since ecu control how ur motor proforms

dat i cant really tell how..but one time i was drive..and den i want to hit vtec..but i couldnt..n i was like wtf man..so i pulled over..look at my motor..it was fine..den looked at the ecu..the vtec wire was ripped..n i said how the hell did dat happened..

ecu or wire issues.. maybe a wire is loose or something..

ya..ecu pretty much control the motor..but another thing..can be ur timing.wut tranny did u say u have

wow you can change where the red mark on your tach is? thats the redline...


rev limiter is where your reving stops... redline is a physical mark on your tach

check your speed sensor and see if that might be disconnected. also, are you throwing any CELs?

VTAK is hitting way too hard for your stock computer to handle!

You need to put a s2000 ecu to cope with that!

I don't know wtf you did to make your VTAK hit so hard that it rev limits, but you must be a [freak]ing god!!!!!

ok what ever but i changed ecus and its running fine it cause i had a p28 with s100 tuned for my other setup
