as of late every time i fill up my car with gas, then start the car to leave... it takes at least 3 times to get the car started and i have to feather the gas to keep it running. but after about 60 sec of this it runs perfect idle's fine etc etc. this problem is only when i fill up. it dosent do this any other time. ive tried about 10 diffrent gas stations. filled from dead empty, and also from 1/8 of a tank and 1/2 a tank and still same issue.

set up is as follows

00 hatch
ls vtec
stock fuel system
odb1 p28 on chrome

and i always use 93 0ctane.

any help/input would be greatly appreicated. thanks

 

does the fuel pump sound normal when it primes after you fill up?

 

yeah it seems to function normally, bc any other time it fires right up and runs perfect. im stumped

 

be;ieve it or not my eg did that same thing until I replaced the main relay....it seemed like it would only act up at the gas station

 

are you pumping to the next dollar after it clicks? or do you let it click off once and stop filling? there is a reason it stops when it does. you could be filling your charcoal canister with fuel. i dont think that would cause your problem but its a start.
