Default What is this white/cream box?

hey guys,

im doing a convserion and took off my front bumper and noticed a big white/cream looking container on the passenger side of the car, at the bottom corner or the car, and it has a neck that comes up to the front side of the engine bay, but nothing connection to the opening, i thought it could be some kind of air box, but it had no opening at the bottom end to let air in..

Am i right is it an air box??? or was my car used for importing drugs??? lol cause it does make one hell of good stash spot....
i should of took a pic but battery was dead...

The stock air box and baffling/resonator system are located in that area so I'm sure that's what it is. Maybe the previous owner removed some of the stock components so it's not a complete assembly. Get some pictures up and we'll be able to determine.

No seriously...WTF is that?

As for the box, it is used in conjunction with the stock air intake system to help with resonance, and it probably has some sort of enivromentally friendly use as well, but I am not going to guess what exactly. Anyway...if you have another style of air intake installed, you simply do not need this box. Good luck!

That looks nothing like an OEM JDM ITR front bumper. You must have hacked up the OEM USDM front bumper.
