Default cel code 6

I got a code 6 and starting the motor when it is cold is a pain... It starts fine when warmed up.. so I replaced my water temp sensor, with one from the old d16 on my b16, and it didn't help the situation and i still have a cel...
What else could it be?
or should i buy a new one so i know its a good sensor?
thanks
