They're for eliminating wheel hop, mainly used for drag racing, I'm not sure how they handle in autoX/circuit. I don't see why not.

Default FV-QR

You've never seen anyone using them for auto-x for a reason.

Default FV-QR

Short answer:

No. No no no. You don't need them, they're added weight.

What kind of handling problems are you having, and what vehicle?

With the setup you described, you shouldn't be having any problem ... other than the hands and feet behind the dash.

Bracing is less important than tires, dampers and sway bars. the ventus tires are good, but there are definetly better ones out there. An LSD will help with corner exit like you said, but for daily driving its not necessary.

-just noticed you said auto X. LSD would be a good upgrade.

The only way your traction could get any better is if you had an AWD... You have a god damn FailWD car as it is... And handling? That **** is for pussies. 1/4 mile at a time, no worries.

i think you need a roll cage before those H brace and traction bars.

I know you're talking about traction bars, but...

The last I heard, autox cars work better with NO bars at all - matter of fact, I think it's against the rules to disconnect them 'cause it gives you an unfair advantage over the competition.

Is this still true?

Heh!

Guess I can go look it up, huh?

Personally, I *think* adding 'traction bars' will hamper your ability to dive deep into corners before braking, and so forth, not help!

Okay, I just did some checking...

What class are you running?

Evidently, it's okay to disconnect your sway bars - front and rear. LoL! I would swear it used to be illegal...

Ppl are disconnecting the front bar to cure understeer and disconnecting the rear bar to dial-out oversteer.

Strut bars can only be attached at two points, either from one upper shock mount to the other, or on the lower suspension mounts. Triangulated bars are not legal for Super Stock or SCCA SP, unless you disconnect them for competition.

No mention of traction bars anywhere...

Turning fast is overrated, besides suspension=more expensive than a turbo! Go fast

More fun to drive a slow car fast. Handling is way more fun than just flat out speed. Smashing the gas gets old but carving some turns is always fun.

Heck yeah, coming out of a corner at 7200rpm is way more fun than going 7200rpm in a straight line. (D16Z6 redline)

Agreed! 8200rpm FTW! (B16A redline)

Nordschleife at 8200rpm's by Honda Civic SRi (9 min video)

Now, compare that to a 9sec D16 1/4 mile run...
