rookie supension question

Default rookie supension question

my friend as a brand new tokico suspension from an integra 2001. i want to know if it fits my 1999 honda civic hatchback. they look the same .

nope. the fronts will fit, but rears will need some work. I believe you need to add some washers in between the LCA bushing and shock forks

They'll work, they need to have a 1/4-1/2" spacer in between. And are in fact the same struts for both gen civic's. just the ek ones come with lil washers.

Oem rear struts are different. aftermarket Tokico's are the same.

ok so if i understand they fit back and front but need in the front a spacer. how do i know the size of the spacer is good enough and where to put the spacer . thanks

No, you don't understand:

The fronts will fit A-OK.

The rears require spacers inside the shock fork on both sides of the LCA bushing. It takes two 1/4" spacers for each side (included with the Tokico shocks new). Call Tokico and order some, or just go to the hardware store and pick up a pack of grade 8 washers.

ok and before doiing the shocks and spring install can i get info exactly on what to put. like i saw on a post here some stuff about lca ajustable camber and all kind of suspension stuff. i have 2 front upper ball joint to change to is there after market one. just give me picture or past post or website on this 411 suspension info please

if you wanna fix camber in the rear, do not buy the shortened or camber lca's. they F'ck up your toe big time. and requiring you to buy aftermarket toe adjusters.

and please stop calling them shocks. most hondas have struts, not shocks.

i saw a link here that showed a bunch a people where showing there set up of lca and swaybar and sub frame brace but cant find it no more
