Default Just got header need help!!!

Ok so I have a 1998 Honda Civic ex with a d16y8 sohc vtec I just got a used header. The o2 sensor on my stock manifold is about mid way down the manifold.

On the new header it is near the connector to the cat is this header for an obd1 car or older??

What are my choices??

obd1 only have one oxygen sensor...your car should have 2. one in the exhaust manifold and one before the cat. (the pic is right for an obd2 car).

Nah, it's a carb legal holley airmass header.

The wires are already extended but they have different connectors and they have one o2 sensor

thats strange...it prolly does away with one of the o2 sensors or it just makes an obd1 car look better by moving the sensor underneath the car. im not sure on your options...i would think that you could maybe drill a hole around where your upstream one goes and thread it and put it in but im not sure on what would happen with your codes and what not.

That's what I was thinking just drilling a hole a threading it but I'm going to install it tomorrow so I guess I'll find out

Thanks for your help

just reuse the same 02 sensor and extend the wire to the harness.

do this. OBD2 cars have two o2 sensors, one before the cat and one after it. that o2 sensor that is plugged in is for an obd1 cx do to it having only one wire. take that one out, put yours in and keep the other o2 sensor you have plugged in behind the cat. its simple man
