LS VTEC or GSR
Ok fellas...this may seem like a noobie question but here it is...I have a buddy who is selling a 96 Integra for $4k. He has 2 options for motors. He can either sell it with an LS VTEC with ARP hardware, 82mm Bore and Brand new ITR pistons with a stock B16 head or he can sell it with a stock GSR motor. He's throwing in a brand new set of BFG KDW2's on all fours as a 'bonus'. Now, I'm very interested in it but idk whick motor to go with. The LS only has 6k miles on it but the GSR has 120k. I've had a GSR before but not an LS VTEC. Anyway, I just wanted your opinions on it. If there is a site that you can direct me to that compares both or any kind of info site, pls lmk. I greatly appreciate it
no need for reference. get the LSV and you wont regret it. just make sure the its not knocking or leaking/burning too much oil. (LSV's typically use a very small amt of oil). what else does the motor have done to it. that bottom end sounds pretty good.
LSV FTW.
im leaving work to sit in traffic now. yay.

you will be happier witht he LS/V then a stock gsr and if it was built correctly and did not have the living hell beet out of it and run low on oil, then go for it. Then get some crower valve train and sunk stg1's.
