Questions about RSX TYPE-S rotors!!!
Just wondering if there is a difference between slotted / drilled (or both) rotors from ebay or any other brand or website. would you guys recommend buying them? they are alittle cheap but do they work???
THANKS AGAIN!!!!
THANKS AGAIN!!!!
If you're looking for more bite from your brakes and better stopping ability just get a good set of pads like HP's or some axxis pads. If you need rotors too a good way to go would be brembo blanks.
I just replaced all 4 rotors with Centric E-coated rotors. I am very pleased with the quality and looks. My original factory rotors would rust so bad after a rain the pads would bond to them causing a loud "crack" sound when the car was first moved. Barely noticeable rust on the Centrics after the same conditions.

Oh really? How so? No butt-dyno comparos...I'd like to hear real numbers.
Because every test shows that slotted/drilled leads to longer stopping distances on a street car because there isn't as much surface area on the rotor for the pad to contact.
Slotted/drilled will only make a difference on a pure track car that sees extreme temps.

You will not see any benefits from having cross drilled and slot discs!!!!
They absolutly do nothing in helping to stop the car or even cool the brakes down.... why do you think most race cars don't use them???? Go ask in the Racing section of HT and see what they say... alot of guys that are there are in the Honda Cup and they use only blanks!!!
You want to have a very good braking system get some good discs like brembo blanks, a good pad such as Hawks HPS, braided lines and a good brake fluided... this is just a suggestion you can always get better stuff just saying in general...

I have powerslots with hawk HPS pads, Russel Stainless brake lines and dot 4 fluid. I love it. My car outstops my friend's WRX which is a heavier car but has larger brakes with 4 piston front 2 piston rear. Besides my Konis, they brakes were the single most noticable modification on my car. And maybe the slotted rotors dont' contribute to that at all but oh well.

It's the HPS pads. Rotors have nothing to do with it.
Number of caliper pistons also don't necessarily mean shorter stopping distances.

slotted drilled are fine for road, but will not give you more stopping power. Slotted/drilled on the track are bad because they weaken the rotor, resulting in cracking at high temps during track racing. Powerslot rotors are actually the worst because the slot goes to the edge of the rotor, this increases cracking possiblity.
to answer the question: Brembo blank rotors and your choice of hawk street pads. Do not get race pads, they only operate after they have been heated up.
