Why'd you post three times?

Idk if it is a good intake, never had one. I like my OEM intake box.

Kind of standard information... Cold air intakes > modified air box > Short ram > OEM air box, in terms of power.

short ram brings with it the possibility and eventual power loss from heat soak. short ram intakes are garbage.

It doesn't. And im sure it adds even less due to heatsoak.

But it does look pretty sick, i've got to admit...

i got a dc header and that thing just heats up my engine bay a lot so i know my intake is taking in a bunch of heat.

Not really. A short ram intake enclosed in an air box with the proper ducting to it and velocity stack, will outperform all on the dyno.

lol... comon what average joe ricer is going to go through all the trouble of doing that? Of course proper ducting and precautions will make a short ram outperform. But that wasn't his question. I don't think he's going to buy his Short ram intake and create airflow ducting from a velocity stack, enclosed in a custom air box.

From a standpoint of plug-and-play performance, a cold air intake is your best choice.

It's actually pretty damn easy and cheap so idk what they hell you're talking about. It's for sure a lot cheaper than those hyped up $200-$300 cold air intakes out there that do nothing.

A while back I think people dynoed it and it didn't really give much in terms of hp gains, but the throttle response was way superior to a CAI.

On a side note I have one for sale =D. Fits a gsr with type-r style manifold.

Intakes is just a filter with a hollow stick. You'll gain hardly any power, that's with any intake. Sure like ~5hp or less if anything. For the most part these fancy intakes are just for bling factor. If you have the $$ just purchase it. It'll be just as affective as my DIY intake I made a hardware store and/or Autozone.

If you're spending 200-300$ for a cold air intake, you're an idiot. It's a tube with a filter on the end of it. $100 from a legitimate brand such as Fujita or Injen, is all it will cost you. Stop being a ricer and pony up the dough. Short rams are garbage by themselves.

Keep the stock arm and get the blox velocity stack with the air filter. Way cheaper than any brand intakes and much more effiecent.

I'm sorry but are trying to attack my statement/call me a ricer? I'm a bit confused with what you're trying to say.

Your statement is quite ironic anyway...you claim that an intake is just a tube with a filter on the end of it, yet you say that you have to "pony up" and buy a legitimate brand. I'm sorry but a short ram intake system with a K&N filter enclosed in a box with a velocity stack and ducting from a cool place into the bottom of the enclosed box with outperform anything. And this setup can be had for less than $100 as well.

It's way nice, but it's retarded that you have to pay for a battery relocator and a special brand battery, or you can relocate it to a different spot, but that's a bit to hardcore.

To the OP, Do some research, read, learn about your car, and quit asking non-sense questions.
