Default window regulator repair?

So i took apart my window regulator and found what i think to be the problem causing my window to lean forward when i roll the window up or down. There is the pivot point on the regulator where the two metal pieces intersect and this is where the broke apart is. It apears to have been welded (not sure if it was factory or not.

My question is, does the pivot point i mentioned need to be welded?

No dont weld that. Just buy a new one. Its easier than repairing it.
