Just put a new motor in my buddies 01 accord (f23a4) it starts up and idles fine but if I just bearly give it gas it will either die or rev to about 3k then hit fuel cut and drop back down to 500rpm. I swapped the throttle body from the original motor, and the same thing. So im pretty sure its not the map or tps but I haven't tested either. Help is always appreciated.

 

Any additional hints, like (maybe) a Check Engine Lamp DTC?
Without verifying the entire engine installation, it will be near impossible to put a finger on it. I would start there. Recheck all the harness routings and connections. If this started immediately upon the swap, then the swap was the problem.

No CEL at all, and I also tried a different distributor. Its to late now, but ill be checking the wiring tomorrow.

 

check you didn't switch the MAP and TPS sensor plugs when you put it back in. Thats a super easy mistake to make.
