EG + H22 + Hasport axels and Mounts... Right axel being a turd.
So as the topic says, H22 into an EG, for some reason it seems like when I turn or go over a bump the right axel dosent seem seated inside the transmission and keeps popping out for some weird reason, could someone recommend some parts of the right side suspension to check, measurements or something im at a loss to figure out why it is doing this.
On a side note, the hasport axels the boot that is closest to the wheel the inner seal seems to be puking axel grease ... Ovbiuosly this is bad, is this a warranty'ed item? or how do I go about replacing that special looking clamp on it.
Thanks.

Hah, didn't I just say I had Hasport axels, none of that southern engineerd crap..
I should have wrote that manual with the amount of crap I did to my car.
But Yes to answer your question I have read that.

You might want to check the installed length of the axle. To do this you jack up the car on the right side and remove the wheel and axle nut. Push the axle back with a phillips screwdriver and see how far back it goes when fully compressed. The tip of the axle should be no more than 1/4 inch in or out from flush with the hub.
Let me know if I can help

I sounds like your axle is obviously to short. If you have coilovers try either raising the car or lowering it and see if it makes any difference.
I had a similar problem with my passenger side binding cause it was too long, however I am also using OEM axles
Good luck

Hey thanks both for the replys,
I'm going to work on this thing tonight and hopefully get an answer back to you, I did have one issue with the motor mounts when I baught them about a year ago and wondering if I simply have old motor mounts or there was some upgraded since then, I'll take a bunch of pictures and hopefully either of you can determin if something is fubar on my end or there can be some other ways to resolve my issue.
One of the things i noticed since we were speaking about motor mounts, the passanger side motor mount would be like a million times better if the mount had some spacers to lower the transmission about 1/4th'ish of an inch lower on the right side because part of the transmission hits the right support.. I put about 4-5 washers on the studs that stick upright to accomplish this this lowers the transmission on the right side just a tad so part of the transmission dosent hit the frame rail anymore.
I'll post an update to this in a good 5 hours or so once i get off work and able to jack the car up and take some detailed pictures for the hasport guy and maybe someone else has some ideas as well, Thanks...
Funny I was looking for a way of contacting hasport directly but didnt find any way of doing so.

Are you using the egh1 mounts? I'm having a really bad vibration when I start to turn right. I pm'd keithg, but I figured I'd post here too.
Basically I got the egh1 mounts, but when I got the hasport axles, I noticed it said something like, ' guaranteed to work with egh2 '
What I'm wondering is if there is a difference between axle fitment and using EGH1 as opposed to EGH2.

I didn't get your PM, (sorry, somehow pop-up blocker got turned on) but the answer to your question is yes, the EGH1 axles are different (length). You should try to exchange them. Let me know if I can help.

I would just like to emphasize The amount of gratitude and above and beyond help I have gotten from Keith at hasport for his assistance with the axle length and CV boot issue.
Apparently the JDM H22A transmission that has LSD and non LSD are slightly in different
locations. The axle Hasport makes was designed to work on both transmissions with the difference split between the two.. we are only talking 1/4th of an inch length wise.
Regardless my setup somehow found the mistake and after a couple emails back and forth we narrowed down the problem....he is going to send me a new axle and I will ship the old one back to him. He is also going to send me a new boot along with some extra clips to hold the CV joint inside the transmission. I most likely will send the boot back with him inside the case for the Axel either way, I really do appreciate this to the fullest extent humanly possible.
