Default Comp Cam installation

Im installing my Comp cam into my D16 and i need a couple quick questions answered. I noticed it came in a dull black coated finish, do i install it with this finish as is? Also, i need to know where to put the cam lubricant. I was told i should put it on all contact points, is this true? Also how much should go on there?

you need to apply assembly tube to the entire camshaft before you install it. all the lobes and journals. put plenty.

as for the colour......dont worry about it. its the type of metal used during the grinding/manufacturing process that makes it the dull black finish. it will change once it kinda worn in.
