Default Wapred Head

Hi Everyone,

My son has 94 integra 3 door LS B18B1 manual tranny and when we bought it it had a warped head. Took the head to a machince shop, they resurfaced it for us. Cleaned everything up and put it back together.

Problem I'm having is that idles very rough (almost like its got a dead cylinder) and is blowing white smoke.

I think I have everything lined up timing wise but any idea or help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Mike

Why did the head warp in the first place? If the motor overheated to where it warped the head it might have gotten hot enough to warp the block. Its blowing white smoke because coolant is getting into the combustion chamber. Assuming you installed the *new* head gasket correctly I would check the block.

it warped from over heating so you think the block is warped too?

New gasket kit installed!

x2 if your head is flat and the gasket installed correctly. then your block warped. a ls engine can be had for around 600 bucks and then you will have alot of spare parts for when you need them.

get the block decked is all i have to input. have a machine shop check it out because like champLS said your coolant is getting into the combustion chamber.

Just make sure that you torqued the head studs down properly. A friend made the same stupid mistake and had two studs finger tight.
