I have a JDM b16a1 OBD0 in a 92 civic cx hatch...on a cold start it stays at 3000rpm for like a minute, then once warmed up it idles anywhere from 1000rpm to 2000rpm (depending on engine temp) non stop!!! My ecu is chipped...any ideas? Thanks!

 

idle air control valve= it monitors ur idle once the vehicle is warmed up.

 

it can be the IACV and the reason for it idling
so high on start up is because of your FITV try
cleaning that and the reason for idle going up
and down is most likely caused by the chipped
ECU if you cleaned the IACV, do you have crome?

 

Crome has an idle control. Go into options and set the IACV compensation down to like -50% and then burn the chip, plug it in, and then play with it from there. I've got mine set at like -18%.

 

What about the map sensor? I've had a lot of ppl tell me that.
