The Four Water / Coolant Temperature (Temp) Switches / Sensors and CEL Code 6
1992 EX F22A6
Symptoms:
CEL Code 6 and Both Fans Run as soon as I crank up the engine.
From what I can tell, I've got:
1) T'Stat Housing - Thermal Switch A (purple connector) controlling the fans during normal operation
2) Cyl Head Outlet - Themal Switch B (green plug) controlling the fans after turning off engine.
3) Head Below Distributor Center - ECU Thermo Sensor (green plug) (#24 in the Majestic Diagram)
4) Head Below Distributor Front - Some strange wired connection with a plug that rotates within its connection and with a solid white sensor insert to the head. ???? (#23 in the Majestic Diagram
Do I have 1 through 3 right, and what exactly does #4 do?
Is CEL Code 6 addressing the ECU Thermo Sensor?
And do the fans running immediately confirm the CEL 6 or suggest another switch has problems too?

That single pin sensor is the sending unit for the temp guage.
If you want to run a cold engine unplug it. LOL
The ECU temp sensor #24 in your pic should read approx. 5 ohms at 70 degrees, and drop to .5 ohm approx at full engine temp
