Default CEL p0117 99 civic SI

Ok so I know its a tempeture sensor code. But my temp guage works... so is there 2 sensors for the temp? one for the cluster and one for the ecu? Can someone lead me in the right direction on this? FYI I just replaced my blown motor with a jdm B16 but I have my USDM thermostat housing with sensor. Do I need to burp the coolant?

P0117 Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit Low Input

got that from http://www.obd-codes.com/trouble_codes/

I know that doesn't really help the OP, but just for anyone else trying to help

There are actually three temp sensors. The 2-wire temp switch for the fan on thermostat housing, the 1-wire temp sending unit for the dash gauge under the distributor, and the 3-wire temp sensor for the ECU forward of the sending unit under the distributor. The latter sensor is related to CEL code P0117.

It's right under the distributor by the vtec solenoid. The plug on the vtec solenoid looks exactly the same. Make sure they aren't switched around.
