Did any 2nd gen B16A come with the "offset 2 bolt" Upper Driverside mounts like the 1st gens did? Or did they all come with the "3 bolt" mounts (As pictured)?



A friend recently got a B16 "SIRII" swap and the mount was the 2 bolt/ 1st gen style. We are thinking that it may be a 1st gen block w/ 2nd gen head and tranny.

i <U>"THINK"</U> all b16's come with the 2 bolt!

 

93 B16A3 has the two bolt mount. 94+ has the three bolt mount.

Europeon or north american Honda motors usually have designations like B16A#(1,2,3) stamped onto the blocks. Whereas "JDM" motors are just stamped B16A or B18C....

my 95 b16a3 came with the 2 bolt mount. when i swapped my gsr in, i had to use the gsr mount, which is a 3 bolt mount.
