Anybody heard of Prime??? Please help.
I have a 1996 Integra, and the alarm that came on the car is, I think, made by a company called "Prime"? That's all I know about it. I have one remote, and the remote only says Prime on it. It has two green buttons, and the one on the left arms/disarms the alarm. This alarm is starting to trouble me, because I can leave the car unlocked with all the doors shut, and the car will lock itself and set the alarm, without me ever pushing any buttons. I am trying to find out all I can about this alarm. Does anybody know what's up? Thanks.
What you have technically is an older clifford/avital system. I believe that is was the "house brand" from guys who did dealer work. What your is doing is called
Passive arming/locking....when ignition is turn off and all entry points are closed,
the alarm when automatically arm itself and lock the doors. It would appear that its working okay...but since cliffords were designed with Customer Adjustability" built in ( just a polite way to say mo **** for them to fyck up and us fix),you may have activated it by mistake if it never did this before. I have access to Clifford tech info...I need to check which system the prime is based on...even so there are TOO many variations. You may have to bite the bullit and purchase a new system.

Ps For now I would suggest get a door key made and keep it in your wallet,or around your neck on a chain....better safe than sorry.
