Turbo sizing. Need a lil help.
Hey guys what going on. Im pretty new here so take it easy on me. Im sort of new to honda's but not to FI. Well anyways, i finished up my B17 GSR engine swap a couple months ago. And i think i want boost. I have had boosted cars in the past (twin turbo 300zx, KA-T 240sx, etc).
Anyways i was just wanting to get some feedback on what would be a good turbo.
Im gonna leave all the internals stock, I would like a pretty fast spool around 3500-4000 rpm's, I would like for it to hold all the way to redline (8100rpm's), and I would like to try to make around 250Whp. Its my daily so i dont wanna do anything to crazy.
I've searched for turbo sizes and stuff but not that many people turbo B17's just for the fact there were only 5000 made. So any feedback would be awesome.

We typicially don't like to use turbos "off of" many things. (those of us with a decent budget). The GT3255 is not as scary in price as the designation looks. It is nice, to say the least.

That's a good point...it costs a little more than a 57 trim and worth every penny

You guys think there is anything else on the cheaper side? Garrett?

Thats basically what you're looking for though, yes. Personally, i've never been a Turbonetics fan. I would look into a Garrett T3/To4e 50trim .63 ar or the Garrett T3 Super 60. Both of those turbos are fairly cheap and can be found new in the Sponsor's Marketplace or used in the Classifieds: Forced Induction in the Marketplace.
