my buddy gave me a trans that he had on his h22 and it doesnt have the sticker on it that shows the tranny code and im trying to find out which trans it really is. i cant rebuild it if i got a mystery trans. so can any one help me out. is there another way i can identify the transmission without the stick any help would be very appreciated

long gears.. prob a f22.

really short... h22

kind of in the middel.. prob h23....

why cant you rebuild it if you dont knwo what it is. as far as i know they have the same syncros so whats the difference. unless your getting gears... and if thats the case get w.e gears you want?

 

i think it has a bent shift for or something b/c you ar unable to downshift into 2nd gear but no gears grind. going into 2nd is hard but it dont grind or anything along with the down shifts and plus im just curious on what it is before i put money out to get it rebuilt and find out its not what i want
