yah i wanna too but before i make a move with synchromesh i need to know what happens long term .. i herd people say its the best thing they have put in their trans .
I used it in my old H23 transmission for a while and it helped a bit, as I had a 3rd gear grind.
But If you have not tried the new Honda MTF it is just as good as the synchromesh, I would try it before anything else. I run it now in my H22 trans and it is excellent, much better than the old honda MTF.

Some people on here use it if their synchros are going out. I used the friction
modified stuff in my old h23 trans as well for a 5th gear grind. It's basically
just a bandaid though. I wouldn't put in a perfectly good transmission though.
I just have Mobil-1 10w30 in mine but I will probably change to the
Honda MTF the next time I change it.

yah a couple times it was kinda hard to get into gear from first to second once and from second to third once . somone said synchros maybe worn out a bit and they said to use it and it should fix it . no grinding tho so the problem isnt that bad . i never wanted to use this product unless i was completly sure it wouldnt over time hurt the trans .some said to use the new honda mtf . they said its as good as synchromesh not sure if this is true . thanx for the feedback
In my experience, the newer Honda MTF is as good as the synchromesh. But then I only have a sample size of two transmissions that have seen both fluids. I currently run the Honda MTF in a transmission that has some slight syncro issues and it smoothed it out to the point where I'm happy to drive it again.
I'm going to go out and say, before you start trying different concoctions of tranny fluid, try the Honda first. It's been out a couple of years, its definitely compatible, and it may be all you need. You can always add something else later if you want to experiment. Either way, as it was said before, it's just a band-aid and will not fix anything.

No grinding here either but I'm running Shell 10w30 and every now and then it's hard to get into first from a stop. Very rarely happens if I'm rolling, but it's just really annoying having to put the extra pressure to pop it in. Sounds like a bad syncro? Would Honda MTF help out with that problem?
A friend of mine's EG hatch /w GSR motor and LS trans has a slight 3rd gear grind. I'll be flushing it for Synchromesh soon. I've heard good things but nothing long term.
