ok has anyone swaped a d16a6 block and d16z6 head ? what were your outcomes ?? im thinking going high comp sohc, anybody done this ?

It's been done to death with good outcomes. But for all out power the A6 is actually the best D-series head.

Now if you are doing it just to be SOHC, well the F22A is SOHC and outflows all but the K series. But you'll want to match it with a D or B series trans using a special adapter.

oh and i have new rings and fully ported and polished head and intake etc, and tuned p28 ecu, what should be the outcome ? 130hp ?


and what is a good non internal upgrade for high comp

well i want vtec and d16a6 is best block and y8 or z6 is best sohc vtec head, also im using a special super thing head gasket, and mabey zc pistons.

high compression is easy and decently cheap to do.

do your a6/z6 combo with zc pistons and boom 12 compression.

what is that supposed to mean? VTEC can be acheived on a non vtec head...all vtec is bigger lobes so in a non vtec head you would techinically be in vtec all the time with a performance cam...
