ok so heres how it is i just got off the phone with harry from precision turbo he said run a 2.5'' exhaust all the way back no bigger and my moms bf just talked to one of the people from revhard and he said the same but when i come to honda-tech everyone says go 3'' it spools faster and makes more power and shyyt i posted a similar pole to this like 5 months ago and i got the impression that 3 inch is allways better but now i duno what to think does anyone have any dyno graphs proving either to b correct?? i really like to kno im very confused thanx

 

Arturbo claims he got 10hp and 10tq across the board on a dyno going to 3" dp and exhaust. Not exactly sure what diameters he was running (i think drag3 supplied dp though) before this test.

I've been wonderin the same thing, is it true that going from a stock exhaust to a 3" will make you lose low end of anyking? Cause I kind like the low end I'm getting, I mean I'm willing to part with it and get a 3" some day (no money for that now, fuel system and tuning is more important).... just wondering

 

For the last motherfucking time, exhaust diameter on a turbo app is not the ******* same as an na app. You don't need the same exhaust scavenging and exit velocity. Gdammit someone show then the motherfucking search. Oh yea, 3" owns joo and smoke weed everyday.

ay dick but if u have excess exhaust gasses sittin there and there isnt enough flo then the exhaust pulses back up on eachother causing too much backpressure bad for turbo thats why we dont use 7 inch exhausts for small turbo setups

haha, umm yeah but anyways... 3" isn't really worth getting on low boost, 2.5 will do nicely. plus, despite what everyone says thermal sounds horrible, although i'm not doubting it's performance.
