Default changing out torque converter pull motor or just the trans???

Like it states im changing this torque converter out, this is my first time ever dealing with an auto trans so im already a little sketched out haha. any advice would be great. dont be a dick and tell me to search because i just did and found nothing but is my torque converter bad threads

Really not that much more work to pull the motor - and it would make it easier to change.

if you can't break the axle nut loose take it to closest shop w/ air tools and get them to break it loose - if you lived in OKC I'd do it for ya

The easiest thing to do is just drop the tranny under the car. Comes out quite easily. Its heavy btw especially when compared to the 5 speed.

dude, just drop ur trans. that would be like pullin your motor just to put a clutch in.

On auto you actually have to pull the motor. It's not like a standard.

No, you don't. I've done it before doing an auto to manual swap, its not hard. The automatic is just heavy. It will drop right down under the car.

Good decision. You would end up with bloody knuckles and cuts and a lot of trouble trying to pull the tranny away from the motor. been their done that. pulling the motor is just easier in the long run.
