like the title says i have a 98 Civic EX and i was wondering if there is a pre-installed keyless entry and alarm in it. If it is Pre-installed where would the box be located at?

 

your ex has factory keyless entry. an alarm however no, unless its after market. I dont know where the actual keyless box is [i think its within the driverside door panel] i am sure that the wiring harness is located and connected to your factory radio.

search it up. there are a bunch of threads on it.

 

Stock alarms aren't very common. It plugs into the green slot on the back of the stock radio. This is also where the keyless plugs in though.

The keyless unit in a '96-'98 Civic is in the stock radio. The keyless unit in a '99-'00 Civic is in the driver's kick panel (behind the hood cable IIRC).

The box in the driver's door is the power lock control unit.
