Default Need help with edelbrock turbo compressor outlet

I have broke two of these now because of edelbrocks poor engineering. the compressor outlet hangs below the front cross member by a good 3 inches. so everytime i hit a bump, it hits and breaks. anyone else have this problem with this kit? my car is not slammed. maybe 2 inches lower than stock. im trying to find out the easiest way to fix this problem. i can weld up a new pipe thats not made from cast aluminum like the stock but stainless. any ideas on methods of fixing this? thanks. here is a link of what it looks like.

you can cut the elbow short and use a 90* coupler elbow instead

i was thinking that but the flange is the only thing that breaks each time. the rest of it is good.

for those that find this thread when you have the same problem i found a fix. i kept the stock elbow that kept breaking and hacked it off midway (kept the lower half), then i made a flange for the outlet and opened up the flanges center to 1.5" and inserted an exhaust adapter in it and welded it in place. http://www.hyperformanceauto.c...0.jpg then connected the two with hose clamps and now i have a flex pipe for those damn rain gutters in front of your driveway! cheers
