I bought my car without an engine, and we just put in a B17A1, plugged everything up and nothing happened. The lights won't work, the horn won't work, the radio won't come on. It's completely dead. We checked all the fuses, and they're fine. What could be wrong? I'm totally puzzled. The car is a 93 GS-R and the engine is from a 93 GS-R and I'm using a 93 GS-R wire harness and ECU. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

 

does it have gas?

 

check your grounds. engine ground and ecu ground.

 

That's exactly what I'm thinking. I'll check it when I get off.

And GSRwBOOST.. what does gas have to do with the lights and the horn. I made this post to get help, from the mature users of this board, not some foolish smart *** remarks like "does it have gas". If you can't be helpful then don't post.

not really, if the horn isnt working then their is definetly a battery supply problem. Check the grounds, battery, ecu power, make sure the fuse panel is getting power (14 gauge all white wire going to the back under the steering collumn)

check the grounds, all the wiring harnesses, ECU and most importantly the battery Lolz.. that sounds stupid but... me and my friend were installing some car audio components in his car and he forgot/didn't to turn off the dome light and hatch/trunk light even though I told him to when we started...

well after we spent a few hours taking out door and interior panels, running wiring for the head unit, amps, speakers, subs, changer, RCA cables etc (took a few hrs) his battery was dead... I thought he had turned off the dome and trunk lights..so I was like wtf? checked all the fuses and everything.. ended up the battery was dead Lolz...

 

nevermind,i found out wut the problem was torrey.the 80a fuse was blown in the main fuse box.
