Default Head Removal

Background:
Car is a 93 Civic DX (D15B7)

Car had a bad missfire (3 cyls) but drove still. Checked compression...0lb on #3 One day on starting it just whirled around...aka..timing belt issue. So I thought 0lb compression may also be due to timing WAY out
Got at timing belt...really loose....replaced with new, lined up everything...cinched it up.
Still running on 3 and 0lb in #3.

So, I'm assumming valve?
How tough and any issues to watch out for when removing head. Of course I now have to undo all that I just put together.

Thanks for any info.

umm 0lbs in a cylinder most likely means the rings are fried.. it takes a hell of a head problem to do that. and to remove the head pull the cover drain the coolant disconect all wires to the head and coolant lines and undo the head bolts and it lifts right off

wrong If the timing belt broke or was loose and jumped timing cylinder #3s valves more then likely hit the piston and are bent. hence the 0 compression, the compression is leaking out the open exhaust/intake valves. In case you didn't know honda engine are interference engines meaning if the timing belt slips or brakes the valve and the piston can hit one another

I was led to believe that these were NON-interferance motors...??
Well, certainly hope it is not rings or piston top.
I still need to remove timing belt and distributor to remove head do I? I can leave the intake on?

I'll hope for valve anyway...that I can handle

no need to take off the distributor or the intake mani to pull the head
