lowering car question.
I have a 94 civic lx. I have several questions about lowering my car the first of which is, if i lower my car does this require me purchasing camber kits reguardless of how low I go. The second question I have is, is there a webpage or something that has recommended shock to spring setups?
thanks in advance

If you lower your car it would be wise to purchase a camber kit as well, or else you'll eventually get uneven wear on your tires. My tires are just about bald on the inside but the outer part still has quite a bit of tread left =-T

I wouldn't think a drop that mild (1.5") would require a camber kit. You could probably go 2" and still be ok. I'm fairly new though so hopefully someone would correct me if I'm wrong.
My little sisters car(94 Prelude Si) is lowered 1.5" with B&G sport springs. She now needs new tires and it's been almost a year since she lowered it, so I would get them, unless you lower it by 1". My old Integra was lowered 2.5" with Skunk2 coilovers, had tire wear, and put a camber kit on, and it was fine. I would suggest getting them if you plan on dropping it more than 1" just to make sure.
save enough cash for a camber kit, lower the car, get an alignment check and find out for sure if you need the kit. I lowered my car on coilovers, so I cant give you an exact inch drop, but I didn't need a camber kit. Bad toe is probably worse anyway.

with a 1.5" drop it shouldnt hurt u that bad..a little neg. camber is good for performance..but do check get an alignment and see if they can get it align d within 1 degree of specs..
Anything up to a 2.5" drop won't need a camber kit. What kills tires on lowered Hondas is TOE. It's VITALLY important that you get a front end alignment ASAP after lowering it.
As far as shocks... I personally prefer Tokico, but that's just me. Just about any aftermarket shock out there will be fine. If you're splitting hairs (which you're not), you'd want to match dampening rate to spring rate, but I wouldn't get all wrapped up in that.

really? toe is the culprit and not camber? i had my 00 civic dropped about an inch or less on itr springs and my tires had inner wear. its worse now that im a tad bit lower on my new springs. and the worst thing is that kumho 712's are directional treads...
will just a 1.5" drop require a camber kit on 15" rims?
