IM TRYING TO GET SOME HELP. MY CAR IS OVERHEATING AND I DONT KNOW WHY!!!!

have you checked your radiator fluid levels

YEA ITS TOPPED OFF.

 

ok did you top it off or it was there if it was there then when the motor is running do your houses have pressure or is one soft if so which one

 

i topped it off this morning. yes, the hoses have pressure.

 

has it overheated since topping it off

 

when the car is on only the top hose seems to have pressure

 

yea it overheats while driving but when i stop it cools off

 

oh hell that sounds like your thermostat have you tried blasting the hell out of the heat when it starts to get hot

 

yea and it cools right off....

 

yeah it is the thermostat no big deal it is like 12 dollars at just about any parts store and is easy to replace

i guess i was wrong i took of the hose and the thermostat seemds to be good.

 

at least i think so. i squeezed the other hose an coolant started comming out where the thermostat is

 

pull it out and see if you can move that one piece inside the thermostat

 

how many miles are on the motor also are the nice miles or hard miles if you are not seeing a puddle then odds are it is the head gasket as well but the general rule is if you start to blast the heat and it cools back down the thermostat is bad but bad thermostat does not explain missing coolent it only explains half problem head gasket explains the other half that is unless you are letting puddles on the ground

 

ok so i took out the thermostat. it looked like crap....lol. so i replaced it an the problem is gone. thanx alot to all who helped.
