car lighter help!!!

Default car lighter help!!!

hey guys, i have a 1994 honda del sol si vtec. and my car lighter is broken...everytime i press down the lighter, my deck goes out and when i take the lighter out it goes back on. its like everytime a coin or metal or w/e touches the bottom of the lighter slot, the deck goes out. how do i fix this?

Pull out the deck, sounds like a ground wire or something is not connected. Check the wiring.

i mean the deck works perfectly fine...but once u put something into the cigarette lighter the deck will stop until you take it out..and the cigarette lighter just completely never works

Sounds like a short in the wiring. Pull the deck out and see if anything is crossed.
