hi recently as i hit dips or bumps on the road my sound turns off but the radio is on..for example the cd player is still going but my sound goes off???im wondering what can cause this and how to fix ...it happened in my sisters old integ as well..i was thnking it was bekus of the wiring but i tried to look on my amps and i looked behind the head unit..its getting annoying bekus if the sound wants to turn off it will and wen it wants to turn on it will...thanks>...

 

Check the ground on your amps.

 

...along with all the other wiring. Most likely it is the ground wire rocking loose, though.

Assuming the installer did a good job, the ground wire will be the shortest of the thicker wires that is mounted to the chassis of your car from your amplifier. When you check it, make sure it's secured down and there's no paint at the contact the point.
