a freind of mine is getting jdm headlights what are some things to check for to make sure they are the real deal, are they glass or plastic, what else thanks

 

I think they are two verisons of the one piece. One was JDM Stanley and obx. Check for the wiring if there enough to work with and buy the H4H or go to http://www.g2ic.com

 

Should be plastic. The other benefit besides looking good is that plastic is lighter than the glass original lights.

 

The real benefit is the better way the JDM headlights light up the road. USDM G2 headlights suck.

 

They are plastic (Stanley). You will NOT be able to use your stock USDM bulbs. And, yes, they are many times brighter than the USDM headlights (and lighter!). I used to get flashed by 80%-90% of the on-coming traffic if I had my low-beams and foglights on. They do look sweet as hell though! Make sure to get the JDM sidemarkers too....you will have to do something with your USDM corner parking light wires. They will need about a 2' extension though! Good luck!
