99 EX check engine light

99 EX check engine light

I have a bone stock 99 ex and the check engine light just came on yesterday. The code is 90 I think. Appears to flash 9 long times. What does this mean and is it easy to fix/replace? Also is it safe to drive like this until it gets fixed? Thanks for any help.

I lost my gas cap and the check engine light came on after about 2 days of not having one. try tightening the cap too.

I don't know the codes....but I had the engine light come on on my 99 EX and it was a bad oxygen sensor. Don't know if that helps, but it's an easy thing to check.

evap canister code i believe, check your gas cap and reset the code if that's not it and you are under warranty go to the dealer. Could be bad sensor in the tank or in the evap canistor.
