Ok so I was geting my car tunned tonight and it made 260whp @ 10lbs of boost. What kind of numbers do you think I should expect and how much boost can I push? Heres a rundown of the stuff I got......

Do them numbers sound right? Honestly Im kinda pissed all that money I got dumped in this build and I gained 60hp? And its not like I went cheap on the parts that I bought.

 

it looks to low on that boost level, becouse last h22 i tune with 60-1 @ 11.5 psi i made 370hp on c16 and 354hp on 91 pump gas.

 

technically you didnt only make 60 more hp because H22's dont make 200 whp stock. you also lowered the compression over a point. what kind of dyno was it? i would not be disappointed till you at least go to the track and see what it traps because that will tell you what youre really making.

who tuned it? maybe they were too conservative. that car should make over 300whp on that setup and boost.

Yeah he said he was tuning it to be safe. My tuner said the way you make power is by leaning it out and that's bad for the engine. Sorry it took so long to reply back I had the Army thing going on this week Reserves HOOAH

 

Was it spinning on the dyno? 260hp at 10psi seems really low, especially on that set-up. Is your tuner familiar with Hondata?

 

No the tires wernt breaking loose at all. My tuner claims that he is and thats why I took the car there. Do you think thats what it is? Just a bad tune? If not what else could it be?

 

That to me sounds like a VERY conservative tune. I would consider looking around for another tuner honestly. Just for example, i made 315whp on a GT3255 (smaller variant of a 57 trim) at 10psi on a stock GSR on a DynoDynamics Dyno. You should be making more than that at the pressure you're at with the SC60.

 

do you have a dyno graph so we can see if there is any issues. 10 psi on that turbo and an H22 should be over 300whp. i've tuned several H22 motors with alot smaller setup that yours and have made high 290's to low 300whp on 8-10 psi.

I dont have the dyno sheet yet but I will get it for sure. So I went to pick up the car today I get in and when it hit boost it was cuting out at 5 grand I was like WTF!? So I bring the car right back. My guy said its not street tuned all the way so he jumped in it and left for like a half hour and comes back and says " Have you ever herd the term when it rains it pours?" I said yeah in my head I was thinking omg my motor is F'ed well my $650.00 carbon fiber seibon hood poped up on him and hit the windsheild. My hood and my windsheild is totaly trashed Im tryin to stay positive about the whole thing lol He is at least taking care of the hood and windsheild for me and the car is tuned for the street now

 

I would look into getting a new tuner. You hire a tuner because they are going to professionally tune your car, not half *** it then jump back it and 'street tune' it after you picked up the car.

Word! I think im gonna do that it just sucks because Im paying twice and Im out of 400 bucks now that I paid for my previous tune
