Default crx b16 won't even crank

Replaced Head gasket. Now Ill put the key in and power comes on and seems normal. Try to start and it does nothing, like when you don't push the clutch in. Have the switch hardwired and checked it. Tried to jump, push start, battery is fine, swear I checked all connection twice. Fuel pump is priming. Any chance of some help would be so appreciated. I looked through the search engine and went through 60 of them and found nothing, so thanks in advanced

check the ground cable on your starter to your ignition switch. if everything is good then check all your grounds and make sure the grounding surface is clean. also make sure they are all tightened down good and they arent touching anything that could cause it to short.

It has to be a ground problem, make sure that they are tight and that theres no broken wires.

when U tried to push start, did engine rotated then??

check the following,,
at stater motor there is triger wire, u can easily look for it as stater motor have only 2 wire, one is direct from battery and the other one is trigering wire, the engine will not crank if its not connected,

If its connected, take out all the spark plugs and try again, some time water in the cylinder wont let engine crank,

2.Below throttle body there is water house pipe connected to block and the other end to radiator lower outlet, at block just above the house pipe there is ECU's And engine ground wire, check if its proper.

but the engine will crank either is connected or not..

Ended up being tranny ground. Now the car cranks but no start. Been sitting for a year and half now. I suck at life.

floor it and hold the starter. When I first installed my ZC the engine had been sitting in a yard for so long and I had to crank until my battery was dead then hook up to my dad's truck and crank for an additional 5 minutes with the accelerator to the floor and it finally fired up.

Use to crank and now just rapid clicking from the starter. Could the ground still be bad? Battery is all good and so is connections.

Have you done anything about the gasoline that has been sitting in the tank for a year and a half? If not, you can either fill it up with fresh gas (if there isn't too much old gas in it), or you can drain it from the bottom of the tank. You will also likely need a new fuel filter.

Another possibility is that your main relay has not lasted. Check to see if you have spark and fuel and post the results. This simple test will be a huge help in diagnosing the problem.

That rapid clicking means that your battery is dead. Time to give it a charge.

Are you positive that your timing is correct?

agreed with black4thgenef. my roomates crx sat for almost 2 years and never moved or started. rust got built up in the tank and the gas went bad. id drain the tank and put fresh gas in it. then check the relays.
