Default Stupid Idle question

1994 VX. When my cars warms, the idle gets very low, and it runs a little rough. it also coughs when accelerating. I think it is because i was messing around with the idle adjustment screw. Now when i try to ajust the idle screw higher, and give the car some gas, the rpms do not want to come down. Do i have to unplug some stuff and reset the screw to a factory setting?? any help appreciated!

The diagram below may help. Also try cleaning the IACV (EACV).

Ok a followed those steps and have a decent idle now that stays steady for the most part. Now when i rev it it has a slight hesitation around 1500 rpm but is otherwise good. Any idea why this might be?

Inspect your spark plugs for gap, wear, and fouling. Also check the distributor cap and rotor for corrosion and wear. Replace any bad ignition components. You should also consider checking the ignition timing with a timing gun.
