engine opinions
sorry i feel like such a noob, but i got $1200 set aside for an upcoming h22 engine swap and i want the best ****, so i'll prolly save up for another month before i do anything. i know i did a search, but what is the most reasonable engine to get USDM or JDM wise. the usdm h22a1 or h22a4 are my options right now, i dont want to go 23 due to the the fact everyone makes parts for the 22 not 3. what do the jdm engines have over the usdm ones? i plan on getting a act 3 clutch while i'm at it, but i want the best set up w/out having to rob a bank. hahaha j/p. what do you think about the h23a4 sirT/wagon engine. a friend has one at his distributors house, will it fit on a h22 tranny? price doesnt matter, due to the fact i'll get them cost from a good friend, but what did you guys pay for the swap as a whole and just for install? thanks

the only H23 that ever came with VTEC - the H23A - I believe that was only found in Accord Wagon SIR's - and for a very short production run at that. Very rare and unique if thats your goal. Otherwise just get an OBD I H22A.
