95 civic coupe.
My brother has a 95 civic coupe with d16z6 and something feels REALLY funny about the suspension. if we turn constantly around a pole at like 15mph it feels as if the car is sliding or drifting. and when takeing corners its like the body moves away from the chasis. what we noticed the other day is the back left tire moves if we turn turn it while the cars parked it moved half and inch back and fourth. and my brother said when he got his new rims the whole brake drum moved foward and backward a little. what could this be?
If it moves back and forth could possibly be the front part of rear trailing arm. "the arm that runs the same way as the doors run"Check the larger bushing and the small pivot arm in the front of the trailing arm where they meet the body and each other for play or obvious rot to the bushing and sleev. So remember if you have to put pressure on something have the car on some sturdy jackstands or on a lift to apply or replicate the weight of the vehicle or some kind of pressure on the components. Could you be more descriptive on how the wheel moves? Let me know.
hard to explain! if i hit a bump the car turns itself badly. or when makeing a corner left or right it moves and feels like its floating but almost wipes out. and if im going straight and i hold the wheel tightly and hit a mild bump or hump the wheel stays straight and the body moves left. its a weird feeling and hard to explain.
i posted three things it could be. also look into tires and struts. there are five things for you to check and spend some time on.
