speedo and revs work perectly fine as do fuel and temp gauge but temp and fuel needles dont light up at first and then suddenly come on about 5 mins later

all started about 2 weeks ago when i replaced motor mounts in bay, had problem with earth but after clean it up all was fine

any ideas ? ive checked wiring as kept catching wires but all look fine, i must have disrupted something

 

I have noticed that when one thing is done to a car, something that is on the edge of failing ends up going. Maybe loose bulbs or loose connection or something.

What was this earth problem you had? no gravitational pull?

And what do you mean that you 'kept catching wires but all look fine'?

cant see it being bulbs as cluster wasnt touched, car is ek4 and about 10 yaers old now but never had single bulb problem on dash/cluster

regards earth , disconnected the trans earth and car wouldnt start at all when i put it back but just gave it good clean and then was fine

catching wires, when i changed main upper trans mount, lots of wires around there so when turning bolts i just kept catching them with my hand, ive checked them and none are broken BUT i suspect fault is there somewhere

anyone know exactly which wire/colour is the needle one ?
