Some douche completely screwed up my harness.
Some complete bastard decided he liked my stereo more than I did last night and he got into my car and took it. My harness was already shot from the previous owner who decided to just cut it almost all the way off and hardwire stuff in. I had it working with the last stereo then this happens and the new one I have won't work. Is there any way that I could buy a new audio harness? I mean the entire harness, not just the connector.
I Think I can catch this dude. there's only 4 pawn shops in my home town that will buy car audio and I can keep checking them until it turns up. I'm gonna get this guy to pay the honda dealership to take care of that dash pull and harness replacement. I can press charges or just convince him to do it. Eithere way I'm not gonna sit down and let this happen.
With the time you would spend looking for the shop, you could buy a length of the radio harness(not hard to find just look for a complete part out or junkyard) and extend it out(solder and insulate for best results). It's not hard and it will work even if there is only an 1/2 inch of wire left sticking out. If done properly it will be as good as new. G/L

go to a junkyard and cut that portion off, but leave atleast 1-2 feet on or as much as available and have someone, or yourself solder the factory harness to simulate an original, yea radio theives suck, i have worked at audio shops for years and someone stole my brothers alpine, but this fool forgot to unplug the alpine harness, he only took the radio portion, so i notified the local alpine dealer that i'm friends with and told him if a radio comes in, model xxxxxx looking for wiring harness to let me know. also its good to keep your original box, it has the radio's serial number on it, thats what i did and we caught the guy.
