Default dash harness issue

Ok guys, so ive been having electrical issues with my teg, my electrical issues started with a mice making a home in my dash and using my dash harness as a chew toy, so my question being i have access to a used harness from a 94 and my car being a 96 does anyone know if they will work? Also not wanting to have an obd2-obd1 conversion harness

Dash harness, or the under dash harness? If you swap out the underdash(main) harness, you'll have obd2 ecu plugs.
I can't remember for sure how the dash harness works plugging into the main harness between obd's.

You'll want to take the dash out doing either harness, but the main harness will be much more work than just the small dash one.

yes you can use a 96 harness as long as its from the same model just to be safe im not sure if a harness from a GSR or vise versa would be plug and play but just stick with the same model as yours to be safe, 94-99 models are all the same obd2a with the exception of the Vtec models having a vtec dohc engine.

How bad is the harness? is it just behind the cluster area of the harness damaged?

what doesn't work from the damage from the mice?

My suggestion is you remove your 94 dash harness and swap it with the 96. When you do this your engine harness will still plug up to the tower harness (plug and play). Now after this is complete you will need a obd2 to obd1 ecu conversion harness. They are quite cheap. I picked one up for $40. Then jus plug your ecu up and your golden

Obd2a didn't start til 96. 94-95 are the only obd1 years for the 3rd gen.
