Default d16 single cam go-cart

does anyone have any idea on how this is done. or a link that can help me out. my son wants a go-cart faster than all his buddies so id like to give him something totally custom rolling on blades.

I think a d16 is way too heavy for a go cart.

i dont know. ive made the frame of 4130 chromoly double butted. my main concern is chassis twist. but if anyone else knows any thing on this topic, p ossibly its never been done before but ill keep you guys posted on my progress. from my calculations i think itll be an 8 second go-cart. pretty sweet if you ask me. i dont think my son will be driving it much anyhow simply because hes scared of the power in my bone stock ls. soo ill probably be driving it like crazy.

It must be a MASSIVE gocart. A 600cc motorcycle engine is too big for a normal single person gocart let alone a d16.

I recommend you then to use a 600cc engine. But again, compared to 250cc engine from a go kart, this is a 125hp motor with enough power to make you regret it. If you have even ridden a recent (06,07 or 08) Yamaha R6, you would know what I am talking about, but if not let me say that... they do around 10.7 seconds in the 1/4 mile, a reach top speeds of 170mph. I am sure that will give your son an insane advantage.
Now, I do not think it would fit, but it might fit in a little formula car.

Yeah, Ive wanted to do this, but a motorcycle motor 250-600cc would be a better alternative imo. If you can get it to work, then more power to you, and keep us updated with pictures and progress..

this shouldnt be in lighting though
